This image pictures the famous Dick Landy launching his beautiful Hemi powered Pro Stock Dodge. It was captured at Dragway 42 (West Salem, Ohio) on May 20-24, 1973. Here we see the perpetually cigar chomping "Dandy" Dick Landy as he drops the hammer on his first burnout through the rosin, down on the wheelie bars, front wheels in the air. Dick is getting extremely good traction even though the rear tires appear to have quite a lot of air pressure. The car is sculpted in beautiful light and is extremely sharp. This low resolution Net image doesn't do the print justice.
